My Valentines' Day Bouquet

My Valentines' Day bouquet received much earlier this year unexpectedly on the 15th of Chinese Lunar calendar. Yes, it's on Chap Goh May itself. Chap Goh Mei too is a Valentines' Day for Chinese.

This is the first time I received Daisy flower. According to the flower meaning, daisy represents purity and innocence, cheerfulness, loyal love. Daisy is often used while confessing undying love.

Here's my Daisy bouquet:

Breathing Therapy

Our noses have left and right nostrils. Are these nostrils having the same function for inhaling (breathe in) and exhaling (breathe out)?

Actually it's not the same and we can feel the difference. Accordingly, the right side represents the sun and the left side represents the moon.

When having headache, try to close your right nostril and use your left nostril to do breathing for about 5 min. The headache will be gone.

If you feel too tired, do it the opposite way. Close your left nostril and breathe through your right nostril. After a while, you will feel refresh again.

Because the right side belongs to heat, so it gets hot easily. The left side gets cold easily.

Women breathe mainly with their left nostril, so they get calm down easily.

Men breathe mostly with their right nostril, so they get angry easily.

When we wake up, do we notice which nostril breathes faster? Is it the left side or the right side?

If the left nostril breathes faster, you will feel very tired. Close your left nostril and use your right nostril for breathing and you will get refresh quickly.

You can teach your kids about it. The effect of breathing therapy is much better for adults.

I used to have painful headache. When consulted a doctor, he told me jokingly," You will be all right if you get married!" The doctor did not bullshit me as he had his theory and supported with testimony.

During that time, I used to have headache every night and I was not able to study. I took medicine but I was not cured.

One night as I sat down to medidate, I closed my right nostril and breathed with my left nostril. In less than a week, it seemed that my headache problem had left me! I continued doing it for about a month and since then there was no recurrence of headache in me.

This is my own experience. I used to tell others who also suffer headache to try this method as it was effective for me. It also works for those who have tried as well.

Now that I have cured my headache, I wonder is this method too works for blocked nose. Which nostril shall I breath with now? I try closing my left nostril, and guess what, it does work. My nose is now cleared.

This is a natural therapy, unlike taking medicines for a long time may have side effect. So, why don't you try it out?

Practice the correct ways of breathing (breathe in and breathe out) and your body will be in a very relaxing condition.

Photos taken with Mom... ladies only

This photo taken during CNY 2009 at mom's house. It was late at night, dad was dozing off, that explained why he was not in the picture. Amanda was at the extreme left, where only her left hand seen. She refused to pose, so Edward (my bro-in-law) excluded her in the picture. That little girl at right is Olivia. I sat next to my mom with my straight hair. My sisters have permed their hair and that look really nice on them. I wonder how I look in curly hair. Don't you think that we sisters and mom do look alike!

This was taken in November 2007 during dad's birthday celebration. See how naughty is Olivia's expression. The cute girl in pink jacket is Amanda.

This photo taken with Angela joining us. Angela - my youngest sister.

I slept in the living room last night

Was having bad cough last night.

Taken 2-tablespoon of cough syrup before bed, but woke up middle of the night around 3am to weewee, my cough started again.

Being a caring and considerate wife + mom (ahem), i closed my mouth with both my hands to tahan the cough until I was out of the room. what a relieve when you can cough out loud to soothe the itching throat.

Then i went back to the room thinking to continue my good night sleep, who knows, the moment i lied down, my throat started to itch again. so again, i kena tahan my cough until i was out in the living room to cough sepuas-puas nya. this repeated few times until myself cannot take it.

Then i decided might as well sleep in the living room. and slowly i moved my pillow and blanket out to the living room. before i tucked myself into the blanket again, i quickly took 2-tablespoon of cough syrup to stop the itchy throat from calling me up again. that's how i ended up woke up in the living room this morning all by myself. so lonely.

Haih...

I wonder what happen to me. Can't seem to getting myself motivated to blog.

Have been too lazy to blog these days, though I have too much to share.

I have yet to write a post about my little Olivia's school venture, CNY preparation and celebration though it has ended peacefully this Monday, my Valentine's present that arrived earlier which caught me in surprise.

How ar... I'm too lazy these days. Can I just post photos and let the photos do the talking? Good idea?
